Andrew's 1st Bday

I cannot Believe my sweet little boy is 1 today!! We celebrated his B-day on Sunday with a BBQ, cake and strawberries with whip cream. Drew loved it. We got lots of nice toys from friends and Grandma and Grandpa. It was so fun.

Messy and Proud

Its been an amazing year. Drew is a determined child. He sees a goal and he must complete it. On the surface he seems very serious and curious. Play time for him is usually about discovery and learning what is new in the world. I always tell people he usually doesn't play he "explores". No one makes Drew laugh as hard as his Daddy does.

New truck!

Drew's can say a few words, up down, done, mama, dada, grrama, go, ball, and  ba ba ba I have no idea what he is saying, but he is positive I understand. His new thing is to shake his head NO at pretty much every question I ask him.

Drew is a BUFF kid. He held his head up his first week, crawled at 4 1/2 months. Was doing sit ups by 6 months. And was walking by 8 1/2 months. He is only 2nd % in weight and height so it is funny to see my little peanut run around  When hes's next to other kids they are a head taller than him. He is sure determined to run everywhere  He has places to go and things to discover!

No B-day would be complete with out an epic bath time with Daddy blowing Bubbles!

Happy Birthday Andrew

Outer Banks

The Bradshaw family went on an adventure to the lovely Outer Banks, NC. We joined 4 other families and stayed in an awesome beach house. We played tons of games and ate some delicious seafood. Drew's favorite part was the sandy beach. He couldn't get enough of it. He was at first very meticulous and studying it. He's our little scientist :)

It was in the high 50's most of the trip, but that didn't stop Josh and I from going for a dip. The ocean was freezing water! But we were able to stay out and dive under the waves for about 10 min. We love the ocean. Our friends thought we were crazy, but the next day most of the guys joined us.

We went to see some of the sights, since it was off season almost everything was closed. It was a ghost town! We did go to the light house, but it was closed too! so we just admired it from the outside. That's the best part anyways right?

We enjoyed family strolls on the beach early in the morning. Especially right after high tide, we found tons of stuff, huge clams still alive, crabs, sea slugs, coral, and seashells! Drew enjoyed it too, he joined in on the singing while we strolled.  Even though it was cold most of the trip it was a gorgeous seaside and a very relaxing trip.

One of the highlights of the trip was all the beautiful seashells we found. I took them home for decor. I haven't figured out what to do with them yet. Any ideas?
