Andrew's 1st Bday

I cannot Believe my sweet little boy is 1 today!! We celebrated his B-day on Sunday with a BBQ, cake and strawberries with whip cream. Drew loved it. We got lots of nice toys from friends and Grandma and Grandpa. It was so fun.

Drew loved the strawberries!

Messy and Proud

Its been an amazing year. Drew is a determined child. He sees a goal and he must complete it. On the surface he seems very serious and curious. Play time for him is usually about discovery and learning what is new in the world. I always tell people he usually doesn't play he "explores". No one makes Drew laugh as hard as his Daddy does.

New truck!

Drew's can say a few words, up down, done, mama, dada, grrama, go, ball, and  ba ba ba I have no idea what he is saying, but he is positive I understand. His new thing is to shake his head NO at pretty much every question I ask him.

Drew is a BUFF kid. He held his head up his first week, crawled at 4 1/2 months. Was doing sit ups by 6 months. And was walking by 8 1/2 months. He is only 2nd % in weight and height so it is funny to see my little peanut run around  When hes's next to other kids they are a head taller than him. He is sure determined to run everywhere  He has places to go and things to discover!

No B-day would be complete with out an epic bath time with Daddy blowing Bubbles!

Happy Birthday Andrew

Outer Banks

The Bradshaw family went on an adventure to the lovely Outer Banks, NC. We joined 4 other families and stayed in an awesome beach house. We played tons of games and ate some delicious seafood. Drew's favorite part was the sandy beach. He couldn't get enough of it. He was at first very meticulous and studying it. He's our little scientist :)

It was in the high 50's most of the trip, but that didn't stop Josh and I from going for a dip. The ocean was freezing water! But we were able to stay out and dive under the waves for about 10 min. We love the ocean. Our friends thought we were crazy, but the next day most of the guys joined us.

We went to see some of the sights, since it was off season almost everything was closed. It was a ghost town! We did go to the light house, but it was closed too! so we just admired it from the outside. That's the best part anyways right?

We enjoyed family strolls on the beach early in the morning. Especially right after high tide, we found tons of stuff, huge clams still alive, crabs, sea slugs, coral, and seashells! Drew enjoyed it too, he joined in on the singing while we strolled.  Even though it was cold most of the trip it was a gorgeous seaside and a very relaxing trip.

One of the highlights of the trip was all the beautiful seashells we found. I took them home for decor. I haven't figured out what to do with them yet. Any ideas?

Thanksgiving 2012

We got to go home for thanksgiving! It was so nice but TOO short. So glad we get to go back for Christmas. We spent lots of time with both families. But I'll be honest Andrew was who everyone wanted to see! It took him a little bit to warm up to Grandma and Grandpa's house but once he did, he was in heaven with all the attention. When he got home he was really needy because he had become accustomed to all the attention. We did a lot of fun things, Movie night, we sang for hours together thanksgiving night, and we even took a family photo with Josh's family. My cousin Jamie took them they turned out AWESOME!!! Can't believe Drew is 71/2 months he is growing up way to fast!

Drew Loves stairs he race up them many times through out the trip

We struggled with no high chair....

6 months

Since I have totally failed at blogging since Andrew was born,  I thought I would not fret about the past. And start now here are My top ten Favorite things about Drew at age 6 months.

1. Andrew has amazing motor skills. The Dr. told us last week that he is at 9 month level. Its hard to keep up with him sometimes.

2. Andrew is Focused when there is a task at hand. He is very serious and "takes it all in" when there is something new to learn.
I love the little pursed lips he gets when he focuses!

3.He has great eye contact with others.  I have had strangers and friends tell me that my son is "staring them down" I tell them "I'm sorry he's just learning your face, he really is a happy kid!

4. His Blue blue eyes. Certainly not from mom or dad! I think he gets it from Grandma.

5. Drew is on buff Kid, He can do a sit up, and when it comes to being a "potato sack" over his dads shoulder, He would rather plank it.

6. He is a fast crawler, he sometimes gets so excited and trips over himself. He started crawling at just 4 1/2 months! Yikes for me :) but he is happiest when he has freedom to go where he wants!

7. He is very expressive with his eyebrows, while babbling nonsense. It cracks me up, he seems to thing I know what hes saying. . He gives me the look of "really mom?" And sometimes a flirty double lift its hilarious.

8. He feels the need to pull himself up and stand on EVERYTHING, couches, stairs, wall, and yes he has even attempted the toilet. Oi I felt like a bad mom when I found him pulling that one.

9. He is fearless, which can be problematic at times. He stands and forgets to hold on then attempts to turn and falls, he has already tried to go up the stairs, he tries to launch himself out of the crib.he does anything he can to avoid being cuddled- seriously it makes me sad has almost undone the buckle of his seat belt.

This is how rebels use the walker.

I turn my head for two seconds and he has not just leaned on it he has climbed...

this is him escaping his bumbo

10. His SMILE!
